Ottobock power wheelchair

Mobility provider Ottobock has launched Wingus, a “comfortable and reliable” sit-and-drive power wheelchair with a lightweight cantilever frame construction.

Offering a reduced appearance and clear lines, Ottobock states that its new power wheelchair offers the user optimal seating comfort for both indoors and outdoors.

The robust cantilever frame compensates unevenness in the floor, ensuring a more comfortable ride.

As the rear wheel drive power wheelchair has been designed as an entry-level model the Wingus is easy to use and offers many adjustment possibilities.

The back and seat depth can be individually adjusted and the arm supports can be folded back so that you can easily get in and out of the power wheelchair.

Weighing 57 kilograms, the Wingus is comparatively light and can be easily loaded into the car. The compact dimensions also improve driving in tight spaces and through narrow doors.

Designed to be service and user friendly, the Germany-made wheelchair is equipped with puncture-proof wheels and relies on long-term tested motors and batteries.

Established in the UK in 1976, Ottobock’s wide product range includes prosthetic and orthotic components, wheelchairs, rehabilitation and mobility products.

In January the manufacturer introduced a new battery to its Juvo B5 and B6 power wheelchairs with over double the amount of charging cycles than its predecessor.
