Open Road Access launches accessible vehicle rental service at all major UK airports
Open Road Access has launched its accessible vehicle rental service at all of the UK’s major airports.
Disabled travellers can now hire a wheelchair accessible vehicle for a day and up to a year with no mileage restrictions.
This will allow people to explore the UK at their own pace. Every vehicle provided by Open Road Access has been adapted for wheelchair users to travel safely and comfortably without having to leave their wheelchair.
The new rental service promises a seamless experience for customers arriving at major UK airports. The vehicle is delivered to the airport and the delivery driver meets the customer in the arrivals hall. Then, a full and detailed demonstration is given by the delivery driver so that the customer can travel freely across the UK.
All Open Road Access vehicles are equipped with a ramp or lift for easy entrance and exit to the vehicle. The fleet includes both compact and larger, more spacious, models, both offering plenty of space for both passengers and their luggage.

It is hoped the new service will help families with disabled members to travel around the UK without worrying about how they are going to get out and about.
In recent news, it was announced that disabled passengers will benefit from better protections when flying thanks to a new expert group being spearheaded by Paralympian Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.
