A new trade event aimed exclusively at trade professionals in the mobility, access and independent living sector is set to bring the industry together this spring, just ahead of the mobility sector’s busy summer months.

Hundreds of industry buyers and sellers are expected to connect on the 10 May at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Milton Keynes for RISE @ THIIS, the inaugural B2B trade exhibition and conference held in collaboration with THIIS Magazine, RISE4Disability, and the British Healthcare Trades Association.

The free-to-attend event will provide retailers and installers with the chance to discover new products, network with new and old contacts, and find uncover new opportunities.

Sponsored by Motion Healthcare, the event will see suppliers including Monarch Mobility and WellEll (formerly Apex Medical) in attendance, along with many more.

Discussing the decision to sponsor the event, Tim Mills, Head of Business at Motion Healthcare, commented: “We are delighted to be supporting the first RISE @ THIIS as the show sponsor.

“As an importer and distributor always looking to innovate and support our partner network, we think it’s essential that we get behind an event designed to give the trade an environment to safely showcase new products and discuss business without the distraction of consumers. Events like this help to ensure that all in our industry can develop, which is something we feel passionately about.”

Alongside seeing the latest wares on offer from leading suppliers, attendees will also be free to access the event’s full schedule of interesting and invaluable conference sessions. The roster of expert speakers will cover a range of topics, including BHTA Chairman, Andrew Stevenson, delivering a session on how companies can get products and services onto outsourced service providers’ framework contracts.

In addition, the night before the exhibition will see members of the industry enjoy a night of networking and entertainment at the RISE @ THIIS gala dinner. Held at the same venue as the exhibition, the dinner will give attendees the opportunity to catch up the night before the event over a three-course meal and a line-up of world-class comedians.

Calvin Barnett, Head of Marketing and Communications at the British Healthcare Trades Association, commented: “The mobility and independent living sector need its own dedicated business-to-business event, where people have the time and space to get hands-on with products and have meaningful discussions with their trade partners.

“We are really excited to be able to deliver this and now we can’t wait to welcome trade professionals to RISE @ THIIS.”
