New THIIS editor to help keep mobility and access professionals informed
THIIS Magazine, the mobility industry’s longest-running trade publication, has expanded its team with the addition of Liane McIvor, who joins the publication as its new Editor.
Liane will be reporting on the growing mobility, access, and assistive technology retail market in the UK for the monthly trade magazine and its website.
With over 20 years of editorial experience, Liane began her career at Reader’s Digest Magazine, where she was involved in compiling popular columns such as ‘News from the World of Medicine’.
Finding her niche in healthcare journalism, she has worked on a range of consumer and trade titles, including as Staff Writer for Pharmacy Magazine and Assistant Editor of British Dental Journal.
On starting her new role, Liane said: “I’m excited about working with everyone in the industry and providing trade professionals with access to need-to-know news and insights, especially with the current Covid-19 challenges and the shifting retail landscape.”
Over the coming months, Liane will build up her knowledge and understanding of the sector as she gradually takes over as editor from Calvin Barnett, who will stay on as Editorial Director.
Liane is eager to build on THIIS Magazine’s long 21-year tradition of providing the latest news, views, products and jobs to the industry.
“The aim of THIIS has always been to inform, challenge and inspire, providing a vehicle for companies to get their message out to the marketplace,” she continued.
“The magazine, like the industry, has evolved successfully ever since – most recently under the reins of Calvin Barnett. I’m looking forward to playing a part in the magazine’s continuing success.”
