A new public contract has been published by the City of Edinburgh Council for a three-lot framework for the supply and maintenance of stairlifts, ceiling track hoists and bidet toilets.

The contract – ‘Supply & Maintenance of Stairlifts, Ceiling track hoists & Bidet toilets’ – has a three-lot framework in place, appointing a maximum of one supplier per lot. However, a supplier may be awarded more than one lot if they bid for more than one lot, depending on the evaluation outcome for each lot.

The different lots available are:

  • Lot 1: Stairlifts, step-lifts and through-the-floor lifts
  • Lot 2: Ceiling track hoists and gantry hoists
  • Lot 3: Bidet-style toilets

Each lot will involve the supply of equipment and associated services; the reactive repairs of mobility equipment; and the removal, refurbishment and storage of equipment.

The Framework Agreement may be utilised by the City of Edinburgh Council, East Lothian Council & Midlothian Council.

Each contract is for a two-year period and the Council has the option to renew each contract.

The deadline for applications is the 5th of July 2019 at 12:00.
