New incentives to help SMEs gain exposure on the small screen
Impression Marketing, a specialist marketing consultancy specialising in the mobility market, is working with a Government-based initiative to provide ‘co-funding’ for SMEs and new businesses to advertise on TV.
Despite a plethora of new platforms for companies to advertise their products, store or brand on, television advertising remains an effective medium for advertising to consumers.
Traditionally one of the most expensive channels to advertise on, television advertising rates have dropped considerably over recent years as a result of a growing number and diversity of commercial TV channels, alongside increased competition for advertising revenue.
Angus Long, Owner of Impression Marketing, explained more about the new funding incentive: “In short, the incentives are based upon offering a 50/50 co-funded package based on getting two packages for the price of one – a ‘buy one get one free’ if you like! – However, there may also be the opportunity of getting a 50 percent contribution towards just one package.
“Each funded package is treated on an individual case-by-case scenario and we have teamed up with some excellent people to help secure the right package and advert production to achieve the best potential based upon the principle target consumer of the businesses.”
According to Angus, the packages are open to any business that wishes to take advantage of gaining exposure on television and includes national coverage, individual regions or a collection of regions, as well as Sky, Catch up and the Hub.
“The main qualifying criteria is that the business must not have advertised on mainstream TV over past two years,” stipulated Angus.
“Another added benefit is being able to say ‘As Seen on TV’ on other marcoms, which is also proven to increase the effectiveness of non-TV advertising mediums. A win-win.”
