Motion Foldacrutch

Well-known amongst mobility retailers for its powered mobility products, Motion Healthcare has now broadened its offering with the launch of its own folding crutch range.

Made from aluminium, the lightweight Foldacrutch range is designed to bring style and functionality to end-users, according to the company.

Featuring a maximum user weight of 121kg, the walking aid is capable of being folded down into two sections which clip together, enabling users to easy carry the crutch in a free storage bag.

Fully height adjustable, the crutch is tipped with a rubber shock-absorbing ferrule and a reflector on the front of the handle to enhance visibility whilst a Velcro arm strap is also fitted to avoid the crutches being dropped.

Diversifying slightly from its powered mobility roots, Tim Mills, Head of Business for Motion Healthcare, discussed what prompted the move into crutches.

“At Motion Healthcare, our core values are to be simple and easy to do business with and a big part of that for me is being able to offer innovation in our product range that allows our partners to make the margin they need,” he explained.

“We are always speaking to our partners about areas of the market we can enter and offer a valuable product so when the Foldacrutch became an option for us, it generated so much enthusiasm that it was clear this is another area we can offer innovation in.”

According to Tim, the new light crutches form part of the supplier’s wider product portfolio strategy as it works to position itself as a leading player in the growing travel and lifestyle segment of the sector.

“Our plan is to continue to concentrate on high-quality innovative products in the travel area of the mobility market,” continued Tim.

“For us, that means we always looking for other products in that area that synergise with our current range.”

The new folding crutch range is now in stock and available for next day delivery to Motion Healthcare trade partners, confirmed Tim. Additionally, the company is offering a direct dispatch service to end-users for retailers as well.

With more products on the cards, THIIS asked Tim if the company had plans of expanding into any other product areas, such as rollators or wheelchairs, in the near future.

“Who knows what the future holds!” responded Motion Healthcare’s Head of Business.

“For now, we are concentrating on our continued growth in partners and ensuring we are keeping our promise to our current partners to support them so well that they love dealing with us.”

The new Foldacrutch range, along with a number of new products including its Elev8 and Alumina scooters, will be showcased at this year’s Naidex on stand NT86.
