etac new CEO Fredrik Dalborg

Aiming for further growth in the mobility and patient handling market, global mobility equipment manufacturer Etac has announced the appointment of Fredrik Dalborg as the company’s new CEO.

Supplying an extensive product range consisting of wheelchairs, moving and handling equipment, toileting and bathing aids, pressure care products and mobility devices for adults and children, the Swedish headquartered company achieved sales of approximately £149.5million in 2018.

Currently the CEO of Boule Diagnostics, a blood diagnostics company listed on the Stockholm stock exchange, Fredrik Dalborg previously worked for more than 15 years with Gambro and Terumo BCT, where he held various roles including business development, sales as well as product- and business unit management.

With experience working in Sweden, the US, Belgium and Asia, Fredrik will assume his new role with Etac in January 2020.

Nora Larssen, the Chair of Etac, commented: “The Board is convinced that Fredrik Dalborg has a strong background to lead Etac in the next phase of growing the company. He has extensive experience from the medtech industry, has worked in a global setting for 20 years based out of Europe as well as the US and Asia and he has solid experience driving growth.”

The appointment follows Etac’s recent acquisition of US-supplier HoverTech, a North American leader in the for air-assisted devices for lateral transfer and repositioning which turned over an estimated £80million in 2018.
