Blazer

Karma Mobility blazer

The latest version of the ever-popular Blazer powerchair from Karma Mobility will be unveiled at Naidex 2020.  New features include a folding backrest which features a height of 540mm compared to the previous height of 460mm along with a reduced overall width of 580mm which was previously 600mm.

This latest enhancement follows the recent introduction of a Captains seat which has been designed to provide the user with increased levels of comfort and postural support.

A compact indoor/outdoor powerchair, the Blazer can easily be adjusted to meet the specific requirements of the user and is perfect for use in confined spaces due to its latest enhancements which have reduced the width while the length is still only 100cm.  However, thanks to its standard large front castors and rear wheel suspension the Blazer is equally at home when being used in an outdoor environment.

The Blazer has an option of a sling seat which can have a seat depth of 16” to 18”, adjustable backrest with a range of -3 degrees to 12 degrees, ergonomic armrest which incorporate 25-32cm height adjustable arm pads which also flip back to allow for an easy transfer in and out of the chair and an adjustable headrest system.

To allow for cushions and to ensure the user can easily position their chair under tables or desks, the Blazer with sling seat has a 44cm seat to floor height. There are two-speed options on the Blazer – 4mph and 6mph and in addition to the standard batteries, larger versions are available should the user require an increased range.

Agile

karma Mobility Agile

Also making its debut at Naidex will be the Agile – the latest addition to Karma Mobility’s comprehensive range of lightweight manual wheelchairs.  With a taller than normal 51cm tension adjustable backrest, 18” seat depth, three-seat widths of 16”, 18” and 20” and a maximum user capacity of 125kg the Agile has been designed to be suitable for most potential users.

As with every Karma Mobility wheelchair, the Agile has been created to help both the user and carer with features such as the 80˚ removable footrests and flip back armrests which ensure a safe transfer is possible from either side.  Height adjustable armrests and elevating footrests will also available.

The Agile can be fitted with 14”, 22” or 24” wheels and by simply adjusting the conversion plate and changing the wheels, it can be converted from a transit to self-propel wheelchair.

For ease of storage and transportation, the Agile is fitted with quick-release wheels and when the backrest and seat are folded, the Agile is just 76cm x 78cm.  As with every Karma Mobility wheelchair, the Agile not only offers great performance but great looks and is available with a white, black and pearl silver frame which can be mixed with a choice of black or grey upholstery. Accessories for the Agile include pelvis belt, anti-tipper, cane holder, oxygen tank holder, IV pole holder, and rear extension plate.

For additional peace of mind, the Agile has been crash tested and is approved for transportation in accordance with ISO 7176-19 meaning it is suitable to be used as a seat in a motor vehicle for transportation.
