Naidex swaps hands for the fourth time in under a decade following organiser’s acquisition
Naidex, one of the longest-running mobility, independent living and disability events in the industry, is now the property of Roar Techmedia following the acquisition Prysm Group.
Roar Techmedia, a global events company based in London, has confirmed its has acquired Prysm Media Group, boosting its portfolio in the healthcare, environmental and marketing technology sectors.
Alongside acquiring Naidex from the Bristol-based events company, Roar Techmedia has also acquired its RWM, Call & Contact Centre Expo and B2B Marketing Expo.
To fund the acquisition, Roar Techmedia secured a substantial investment from private equity firm Apiary Capital, with the investment company highlighting the lucrative opportunities available in the highly fragmented trade exhibition market, estimated to worth £1.1 billion in the UK and growing.
It is the fourth time in nine years that Naidex has been the property of new owners. Originally an EMAP Connect event, Naidex became an i2i event after EMAP Connect split off from EMAP and became i2i, its own, standalone company.
In 2016, Prysm Media acquired Naidex from i2i, changing the format of the event slightly, including reducing the number of days Naidex was held from three to two, as well as introducing new branding, a new website and new show features.
Now in December 2019, Naidex will join Roar Techmedia’s extensive roster of events.

Naidex will take place on the 17th and 18th March 2020 at the NEC in Birmingham.
