Motion Healthcare will be exhibiting its powered mobility ranges at BHTS, available exclusively to the trade

Motion Healthcare has been announced as the sponsor of next year’s British Healthcare Trade Show (BHTS), throwing its support behind the industry’s only event made exclusively for the mobility and access trade.

Taking place on 3 February 2021 at the Weetwood Hall Estate & Conference Centre in Leeds, BHTS will bring the trade together to do business after a difficult start and end to 2020.

It comes in the wake of the coronavirus, which has prevented suppliers and retailers to connect over much of this year. Despite this, innovation in the industry hasn’t stopped and new products and opportunities are still making their way to the market.

To ensure retailers do not miss out on meeting new suppliers and finding next spring/summer’s potential bestsellers, THIIS, Promoting Independence and the British Healthcare Trades Association are collaborating to launch the much-need, trade-only platform.

BHTS with Motion Healthcare

Now, powered mobility specialist Motion Healthcare has confirmed it is throwing its full support behind the show as the BHTS’ official sponsor.

Having first entered the market in 2016, Motion Healthcare has quickly established itself in the mobility sector, with a combined focus of bringing innovative products to market and being enjoyable and simple to do business with.

Speaking with Tim Mills, Head of Business at Motion Healthcare, he explained the motivations behind sponsoring the inaugural event.

“We felt the opportunity to get behind a trade-only show created by the industry, for the industry, was too good to refuse. In my opinion, the industry has been crying out for a trade-exclusive show at the start of the season that is scaled back to make it more affordable for suppliers and, therefore, more interesting and productive for dealers,” he said.

“It means retailers can visit as all of their core suppliers in one place. So, when the idea was proposed, it was an obvious decision to get behind the show to make it work for the entire industry.”

Since its announcement in September, the show has seen almost 20 companies sign up to support BHTS and the industry. For many in the sector, spring/summer 2021 will prove pivotal, making up for the lost trading season of 2020.

Discussing the importance of the industry to have its own trade-only event, Tim said: “For trade-only suppliers like ourselves, I think the chance to exhibit our whole range in one place to our partners and any new potential partners is fantastic.

“It’s great for us as we continue to launch new exciting products too. It gives us the chance to let everyone see and try them much quicker and more efficiently than we are able to by travelling the country – especially with the current pandemic.”

The show will be the launchpad for many industry suppliers to showcase new ranges and offers to the trade.

“We wouldn’t be investing so heavily in the show if we didn’t have the products to back it up!” continued Tim.

“If you haven’t had a chance to see our range recently, come and check it out. Even if you have, we might even have some new and exciting products for you to see too.”

As the industry looks to 2021, Tim noted the need for the industry to come together to face the challenges to come with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the imminent end of the Brexit transition period.

“With the world in its current state, it’s going to be even more important to make 2021 as successful as possible to help recover from a difficult 2020,” he stressed.

“Our concentration will be on fulfilling our responsibilities to our partners and continuing to source and provide high-quality innovative products, protect their margins as best we can and being simple & enjoyable to do business with, in every sense.

“We have some really exciting products in areas of the market which we believe our trade partners are desperate for in order to fill a gap! We look forward to seeing you at the show!”
