Motability has announced its latest Motability Scheme price list 2026, with a range of vehicles this quarter, including nearly 100 options with no or low advance payment.

Motability customers will only pay an advance payment if they choose a car that costs more than their mobility allowance, such as higher spec models and WAVs. This will only be payed once, at the price shown when ordered.

Those thinking of switching to an electric vehicle (EV) could save around £225 per year with an electric vehicle when you charge at home, compared to running an equivalent petrol car, says Motability.

The car industry has been evolving quickly over the last year. The Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate means more manufacturers are focusing on electric vehicles. This is making petrol and diesel models less common. And like many sectors, the cost of things like materials, insurance and repairs have been going up.

The UK Government announced some tax changes in the Autumn Budget that influence how the Scheme is run. These include VAT on advance payments and Insurance Premium Tax (IPT). Both will be included on Scheme leases from July 2026.

Even with these changes, the Motability Scheme states that it remains great value and cheaper on average than leasing elsewhere. It says its price freeze gives customers the peace of mind that the price shown when you applying is the price that they will pay, even if prices go up before the handover date.

Options with no advance payment means using some or all of a weekly allowance, without needing to pay anything up front.

The options with no advance payment include Mini Countryman, electric, automatic; Mazda 2 Hybrid, petrol/electric hybrid, automatic; Vauxhall Frontera, electric, automatic; Nissan Juke, petrol, automatic; Jeep Avenger, petrol, manual; Renault Captur, petrol, manual; Toyota Yaris, petrol/electric hybrid, automatic, and Citroen C3 Aircross, electric, automatic.

Options with an advance payment under £500 include Nissan Qashqai, petrol, manual, from £149; Kia EV4, electric, automatic, from £299; Hyundai Inster, electric, automatic, from £299; Vauxhall Mokka, petrol, automatic from £399, and Honda HR-V, petrol/electric hybrid, automatic, from £499.

Options with an advance payment under £1,500 include Skoda Enyaq, electric, automatic from £749; Hyundai Tucson, petrol, manual, from £749; Toyota Corolla, petrol/electric hybrid, automatic, from £849; Ford Kuga, petrol, manual, from £995, and Citroen Berlingo, electric, automatic from £1499.

The EVs on the Scheme this quarter includes over 50 with a range of more than 300 miles, including Kia EV4, automatic, from £299, Skoda Enyaq 85 SE L, automatic, from £749, and Kia EV3, automatic, from £999.

Every lease on the Scheme comes with the all-inclusive package. This includes insurance for up to three drivers, servicing, repairs and MOTs, breakdown cover, tyres and more. The next price list will be available from 1 April 2026.

The Motability Scheme recently announced that half of the vehicles leased through its scheme every year will be British built from 2035, and it will remove premium brand vehicles.
