Motability awards nine powerchair and scooter dealers for excellent customer service
The Motability Scheme has awarded nine powered wheelchair and mobility scooter dealerships for their high standards of care and exceptional customer service.
Customers of the Scheme are contacted randomly and asked to provide feedback on a particular dealer’s customer service. From this feedback, Motability determines which dealers deserve an award. The awards are then given out in three categories, depending on the size of the company.
Commenting on the awards, Ian Goswell, Commercial Services Director at Motability Operations, said the Scheme sets a very high standard, so for dealers the awards are a way of demonstrating that and rewarding exceptional practice.
The winners are as follows:
Large category (more than 200 customers)
Winner – Ability Matters
Highly Commended – Millercare and Easy Mobility Services
Medium category (between 100-200 customers)
Winner – True Mobility
Highly Commended – Scootermart Mobility Centre and RKS
Small category (between 35-100 customers)
Winner – John Preston
Highly Commended – Steddy and The North East Mobility Warehouse
Every scooter and powered wheelchair dealership that has 35 customers or more is entered into the awards and each scored an average of 9.5 out of 10 or over. The winning and commended dealerships in the large and medium categories all scored 9.8 or above and the winning dealership of the small category achieved full marks.
Ability Matters has won the large category award for the second year running, while Millercare, Scootermart Mobility Centre and RKS have all received awards in previous years too.
Ability Matters’ Lyndon Reeks said he’s delighted to win two years in a row, commenting: “Winning two years in a row means we have maintained what we’re doing with our customers.”
Andy Burns of True Mobility was also thrilled to receive an award.
“We hoped we’d win this year,” he said. “You’re looking at your customer satisfaction figures all the time so we knew we were doing well but you never know at the end if another dealership has pipped you, so we were a little surprised when we won. Even if you know you’re doing well, it’s a really lovely feeling getting an award.”https://thiis.co.uk/motability-awards-nine-powerchair-and-scooter-dealers-for-excellent-customer-service/https://i2.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Motability-awards.jpg?fit=729%2C719&ssl=1https://i2.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Motability-awards.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1Awards & AchievementsNewsroomRetailer NewsThird SectorAbility Matters, customer service,Easy Mobility Services,John Preston,Millercare, mobility dealer,Mobility Industry,Mobility retail, mobility retailer, mobility scooter dealer,Motability,Motability Scheme, powerchair dealer,RKS,Scootermart Mobility Centre,Steddy,The North East Mobility Warehouse,True MobilityThe Motability Scheme has awarded nine powered wheelchair and mobility scooter dealerships for their high standards of care and exceptional customer service.
