Supracor Stimulite range Recare

Adding to its growing list of exclusive product distribution agreements, Recare will now distribute the Supracor Stimulite honeycomb product range to the trade and end-users within the UK.

Established over a decade ago by industry veteran Richard Holland-Oakes, the Oxfordshire-headquartered Recare has gone from strength-to-strength over the years, growing its product ranges, expanding its store presence and recently cutting the ribbon on a new workshop and distribution facility.

Now the company has added the Supracor Stimulite range to its offering, bringing the unique collection of wheelchair cushions, pressure-relief and position products to end-users, mobility retailers and the NHS.

Based in California’s tech hub, Silicon Valley, Supracor manufactures its flexible, fusion-bonded honeycomb products for wheelchair cushions and mattresses. The company currently holds over 90 patents on both the manufacturing process and applications for its Stimulite material worldwide.

James Holland-Oakes, Commercial Director at Recare, commented: “Further to our growth plans for 2020/21, we feel that this product will fit alongside the varied existing product range Recare currently distributes here in the UK.”

The agreement will see the Supracor Stimulite join the retailer’s increasing roster of exclusive distribution deals, which includes the Klaxon Klick handbike, Benoit Systemes power add-on and PDG Mobility ranges.

“We recognise that our nation is experiencing current uncertain times, still, we strongly believe that the rehabilitation and mobility industry market has not disappeared,” continued James.

“Recare has seen increasing growth thus far in 2020, with our determination to be adaptable and willing to meet these uncertain times with strength and resilience that has been proved ongoingly since being founded in 2009 and we are confident this will continue.”

The range had previously been distributed by Gerald Simonds Healthcare, however, earlier the month, the company confirmed it had entered administration and ceased trading.
