Monarch Mobility celebrates successful European launch at REHACARE 2026

Monarch Mobility has marked a major milestone in its international growth strategy following a highly successful launch at REHACARE 2026 in Düsseldorf, securing new distribution partnerships across more than 20 countries, with new partnerships reaching as far as Australia.
The Yorkshire-based mobility specialist used the international exhibition to officially launch Monarch Mobility into the European market, showcasing its latest range of mobility scooters and powerchairs to distributors, retailers and healthcare professionals from around the world.
The launch represents the latest stage of significant international expansion for Monarch Mobility, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, and has also expanded its operations into the United States.
Stacey Fullalove, Director of Monarch Mobility UK & Europe, said: “REHACARE exceeded our expectations. Securing new distribution partners across more than 20 countries gives us a fantastic foundation for the next stage of Monarch’s international growth and, most importantly, we have come away with partners who share our ambition for the brand.”
Alongside the commercial success of REHACARE, the exhibition also provided one of the most memorable moments of the week for the Monarch team.
Sisters Jana and Mara visited the Monarch stand with their parents, Maike and Dennis Steffen, and had the opportunity to experience the company’s new Air Carbon mobility scooter.
Weighing 10.5kg, the Air Carbon has been developed to provide an exceptionally lightweight and practical mobility solution, making transportation and everyday use considerably easier.
After meeting Jana and Mara and seeing first-hand the difference greater independent mobility could make to them and their family, Monarch Mobility decided to gift the sisters an Air Carbon each.
Following the exhibition, their parents contacted Monarch to praise the scooters for their “design, intuitive operation and, above all, their light weight.”
Martin Sampson, Group CEO of Monarch Mobility, said: “Jana and Mara’s story really touched all of us. When we saw the difference these scooters could make to their independence, giving them an Air Carbon each just felt like the right thing to do.
“We’ve worked in mobility for 25 years and moments like this remind us exactly why we do what we do. Our European launch was an incredible commercial success, but seeing Jana and Mara leave with their new scooters was without doubt one of the highlights of REHACARE for the whole Monarch team.”
Monarch’s European expansion is being supported by Monarch Mobility International B.V., its Netherlands-registered European business, as the company establishes a growing network of distributors and retail partners across the continent.
The company’s European strategy is focused on developing long-term B2B partnerships with established mobility distributors and retailers, providing local access to Monarch products alongside product demonstrations, specialist advice and aftersales support.
Following the success of REHACARE, Monarch will now focus on supporting its newly appointed distributors, developing its European dealer network and bringing its products to customers across its new international markets.
The European launch also comes at a pivotal point in Monarch Mobility’s wider business strategy. The company has just completed phase two of its reduced retail model, significantly reducing its direct retail footprint as it transitions towards becoming a largely B2B business.
The strategy will see Monarch place greater emphasis on supporting its network of mobility retailers and distribution partners, both in the UK and internationally, while continuing to invest in product development, marketing and dealer support.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026, Monarch has undergone significant transformation, with the move towards B2B, expansion into the United States and now the launch of its European operation forming part of the company’s next phase of growth.
With new distribution partnerships secured across more than 20 countries following REHACARE, Monarch Mobility is looking to grow its footprint across the UK, Europe and the United States.
Monarch is actively expanding its network of approved retailers and distributors. The firm states that authorised partners can benefit from competitive pricing, dedicated sales and marketing support, access to its growing product portfolio and the opportunity to feature on Monarch’s Where to Buy pages, connecting customers directly with approved local dealers.
