Modern Mobility’s new Lancashire store offers free mobility equipment health check
Mobility aid specialist and Motability-accredited Modern Mobility is now open in the Lancashire town of Clitheroe, and it is celebrating its opening by providing customers with a free health check on all mobility equipment to ensure they are ready to get out and about when the nation comes out of lockdown.
The new store will provide local residents in the Ribble Valley with access to the Motability scheme for mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs.
In addition, shop owners have also announced they are bringing Shopmobility back to the area – a hire scheme that allows members to hire mobility equipment such as and scooters and wheelchairs.
The owner of Modern Mobility, Ben Charlesworth told the Lancashire Telegraph: “We are delighted to finally open in Clitheroe and bring motability to Ribble Valley residents. When you become a customer of Modern Mobility you become part of the family.”
Modern Mobility Clitheroe is the third store of the Modern Mobility chain to be opened in the UK with stores already open in Blackburn and Leicester.
Modern Mobility provides a complete range of mobility aids that include stairlifts, mobility scooters, powered wheelchairs and rise and recline chairs and are stockists of the Cabin Car Mk2, which is regarded as the most luxury mobility scooter in the UK.
The Leicester store recently made headlines when a burglar stole a customised Scooterpac cabin car scooter worth around £10,000 from the store earlier in the month.
The Cabin Car’s features include a reversing camera, remote central locking, and interior heating.
