Mobility XL and Autolift combine expertise to widen access solutions for mobility sector
Specialist lifting solutions and vehicle access manufacturers Mobility XL and Autolift have teamed up to provide a wider range of lifting solutions for the personal mobility sector in the UK and Ireland.
Specialising in the design and manufacture of mechanical and electro-hydraulic lifts and ramps for ambulances, PSVs, train stations, goods handling and wheelchair access, Mobility XL will work with Autolift S.r.l. to bolster sales and support services while offering Autolift’s existing products including inboard lifts, cassette, underfloor, semi-automatic retractable lifts and manual ramps.
According to Mobility XL, the new partnership will combine the strengths of both companies to supply new and existing customers with a greatly expanded product portfolio and much-expanded support network.
In a joint statement the companies said: “Mobility XL and Autolift S.r.l. are pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, Mobility XL will represent and manage the UK sales and service operations for Autolift S.r.l, operating currently as A&S Mobility.”
Both parties are excited about the new alliance, which not only brings a more comprehensive range of innovative lifting solutions to the UK and Ireland but also adds a further operational hub in St Helens to complement the existing Mobility XL support network.
As a division of XL Global Group, Mobility XL works closely with sister company Access XL and draws from its engineering, fabrication and market-leading commercial lift solutions. These include multi-deck, column and retractable lifts for operators, retailers and vehicle manufacturers in the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Americas.
Paul Hemingway, Managing Director at Mobility XL commented: “Through this new partnership we are now able to supply and service 85-90 per cent of all general lifting equipment requirements for the UK and Ireland.”
