Colin Bowcott, Midwest Mobility
Colin Bowcott, the co-founder of medical equipment manufacturer Midwest Mobility, passed away at the age of 59 on 5th May 2021 from myeloma cancer.

With a career spanning over 20 years within the mobility and living aids industry, Colin was highly regarded by colleagues, occupational therapists and healthcare professionals within the Gloucestershire and Herefordshire areas.

A man with an abundance of energy, nothing was ever too much trouble, and his colleagues at Midwest Mobility said he would always go the extra mile. He had a wonderful personality and a real love for people’s welfare.

It was these special qualities, they said, that made Colin so well suited to helping people retain their independence and enhance their quality of life.

Colin started his mobility career with TPG Disable Aids in November 2001, and built many long-standing relationships with NHS occupational therapists.

In 2016, along with Jon Kearsey and Greg Mills, he formed Midwest Mobility to provide specialist knowledge in supplying and installing mobility and living aids for both the NHS and private sector clients.

Midwest Mobility has received a huge number of condolence messages remembering Colin as a real character and gentleman. He will be sorely missed.

Colin sadly leaves a loving family, his wife Clare, daughter Amy and son Sam.

Colin’s wishes were for donations to be made to either The Linc Charity, Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund or the St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford.
