Mobility Scotland named as ‘Retailer of the Year’ at the BHTA Awards 2024
Mobility retailer Mobility Scotland has been announced as the BHTA Retailer of the Year 2024 at the British Healthcare Trades Association awards ceremony.
Hosted by the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) recently, the awards ceremony celebrated excellence in the healthcare and assistive technology industry. It took place at the Grand Hotel Birmingham to commemorate the accomplishments of BHTA members, non-BHTA members, healthcare professionals, and industry partners.
Throughout the evening, attendees had the chance to network with industry peers, enjoy a three-course dinner in the hotel’s grand ballroom, and hear about the inspirational achievements of the award winners.
Mobility Scotland beat several other shortlisted candidates to take the title and trophy back to its headquarters in Glasgow.
Its nomination emphasised its company objectives of “right, first time, every time” along with a commitment to value and building long-lasting customer relationships, with over 70 per cent of business coming from returning customer and referrals.
Billy Finnie, Operations Manager at Mobility Scotland, who has been with the company since its inception, expressed his delight at winning the coveted industry award. He stated, “This award and recognition is greatly appreciated and so well received – we will all be shouting loud and proud for a very long time.
“It also validates everything we do as a business and a team focused on consultative solution sales as we ensure that every world-class, transformational product we sell meets a genuine need for our customers.
“Our team is unique and has developed a culture, personality, and attitude that consistently impresses and wow’s our customers as we strive to get every job right the first time, every time.”
Mobility Scotland is a family-run business that has steadily grown to become one of the most impactful, innovative, ethical, and passionate providers of home access equipment and mobility solutions in Scotland.
Its modern and accessible ‘Centre of Excellence’ in Kirkintilloch boasts a team consisting of trained surveyors, product consultants, and engineers who collaborate to understand customers’ needs and objectives, and then provide solutions.
Billy says: “We take full ownership of each project, delivering a personal, tailored solution, whether it involves installing a stairlift, home lift, platform lift, high-dependency pressure care chair, or hospital bed. We ensure that our solutions are sold ethically and only when they genuinely meet our customers’ requirements.
“Mobility Scotland is self-sufficient and manages the entire process without subcontracting any part of the projects. Once the product is installed, we continue to support our customers through service, maintenance, and ongoing assistance, ensuring they receive long-lasting value from our products, alongside a lifetime support guarantee.”
