Mobility retailer donates £2,000 sensory kit to local school
DF Mobility has donated a sensory kit worth £2,000 to the Icknield School in Andover, Hampshire as a Christmas gift.
Danny Frendo, Director of DF Mobility, delivered the mobile kit to the school as a way to give back to the community and make “some children’s Christmas a little brighter.”
The mobility retailer made a post on Facebook asking people to name any schools or organisations in the Andover area that would benefit from the gift. Then, DF Mobility popped the suggestions into a hat and at random pulled out the Icknield School.
The sensory kit includes a glitter ball, rope lights, a scent machine, mirrors and bead tumblers.
On presenting the school with the kit, DF Mobility said in a post on Facebook: “Melts my heart. Such lovely children and a fantastic school. Merry Christmas to all the children @ Icknield School.”
DF Mobility offers a range of mobility equipment including ramps, bathing aids, disability aids, mobility scooters, rise & recline chairs, stairlifts, walking aids and wheelchairs.
