Mobility in Motion sets new accessibility standard with next-generation driving adaptation
SureDrive, part of the Mobility in Motion product family, has announced the launch of its newly refined Twin Flip Left Foot Accelerator (LFA), a next-generation driving adaptation that combines precision engineering, installer efficiency, and superior user experience.
The 2025 SureDrive LFA represents a complete redesign of one of the UK’s most trusted left-foot accelerator systems. Every element, from materials and tolerances to installation and finish, has been re-engineered to deliver smoother operation, improved strength, and faster, more consistent fitting.
Matt Fieldhouse, Group Managing Director at Mobility in Motion, said: “This isn’t just an upgrade, it’s a complete evolution. We’ve listened closely to our trade partners and drivers, refining every component for strength, precision, and ease of use. The result is a product that performs better, installs quicker, and lasts longer.”
Featuring an installer-friendly design, the new SureDrive Twin Flip LFA includes a host of engineering improvements including enhanced clamping and adjustment and stronger materials.
Upgraded components include a steel hinge clevis (previously aluminium) and a steel horseshoe frame to ensure long-term rigidity and reliability.
The cable system has also been refined for dynamic flexibility and includes a new 7×19 strand cable (previously 7×7) with PTFE inner sleeve and robust PVC outer sheath for smoother, quieter operation.
Craig Bradshaw, Product & Improvement Test Lead at SureDrive, who worked on the project said: “Our mission is to continually develop and improve the standard of vehicle adaptations, and this latest product evolution does just that. We listened to feedback from our partners and implemented it, improving both the installation process and driving experience.
“We were uncompromising with the improvements, ensuring that no function or compatibility needed to be sacrificed. The New SureDrive LFA is fully backwards compatible with all existing dedicated fitting kits – great design doesn’t mean reinventing, it means constantly improving.”
The new SureDrive LFA offers a faster, more intuitive installation experience. Precision-fit parts, pre-routed cables, and better material matching to reduce adjustment time and eliminate common fitting frustrations, helping installers deliver a more professional finish with less effort. Meanwhile, for end users, the improvements translate into a smoother, quieter, and more natural driving experience.
The enhanced hinge design and upgraded components ensure lighter pedal action, reduced vibration, and dependable performance over time, helping drivers feel more connected and in control behind the wheel.
“Every journey starts with confidence,” added Matt Fieldhouse. “The new LFA doesn’t just perform better, it feels better. It’s about creating a driving experience that’s seamless, safe, and empowering.”
Accessible vehicle adaptations provider Mobility in Motion recently welcomed the Autumn Budget confirmation that disabled people will continue to benefit from the important VAT relief available on adapted vehicles.
