Mobility in Motion appointed exclusive UK distributor for Pimas driver-control solutions
Accessible solutions provider Mobility in Motion has announced that it has been appointed as the exclusive distributor in the UK for adaptive driving solutions from Pimas.
The agreement covers products such as ErgoTouch, Intuitiv-E, Voice Control, Electronic Left Foot Accelerator Pedal, Steering Aids and the E-Smart Connect Interfaces that enable installers to configure and integrate secondary controls.
The partnership is expected to bring more choice to the UK market, making it easier for trade partners and clinical teams; OTs, nurses, community case workers, as well as car dealerships to match people with the right vehicle adaptations, whether driving independently or travelling as passengers.
Bruce Lauder, Head of Sales & Marketing at Mobility in Motion, commented: “Pimas’ Voice Control is a standout innovation we’re thrilled to introduce to the UK market.
“Hands-free operation of key secondary functions can make a measurable difference to safety, comfort and confidence for many drivers and passengers. Combined with Pimas’ proven ergonomics and our nationwide support, this range will give drivers, clinicians, car dealers and case managers a reliable pathway from assessment to installation and aftercare for this state-of-the-art product.”
Among the products included in the exclusive agreement is the ErgoTouch, a compact, ergonomic interface designed to access secondary functions such as indicators, lights, wipers, with minimal reach and effort.
It also includes the Intuitiv-E, an electronic multi-function thumb joystick interface designed to control secondary functions through a customisable layout that matches user ability and vehicle requirements.
New to the UK is Voice Control, a natural voice interface to activate secondary functions with a single button. Meanwhile, the Electronic Left Foot Accelerator Pedal, an electronic accelerator adaptation, comes with vehicle specific brackets or universal fitting options to suit a range of mobility needs and vehicle types.
E-Smart Connect Interfaces are also included in the agreement. Plug and play, these have been developed for quick, straightforward in-car installation of our secondary controls.
As part of Mobility in Motion’s established service model, partners will receive end-to-end support; clear product guidance, streamlined onboarding and training, robust installer tools, responsive technical assistance, and dependable nationwide aftercare and warranty.
This comprehensive approach is delivered consistently across the entire Mobility in Motion portfolio and reflects the company’s standard for every product it supplies.
“Pimas develops adaptable, innovative and robust systems used across Europe,” added Lauder. “By combining that engineering with our UK network, we can help professionals deliver the right solution first time, reducing lead times and improving client satisfaction.”
The full Pimas range is now available in the UK exclusively through Mobility in Motion. Demonstrations, training sessions and technical onboarding for clinicians, trade partners and installers are planned for the coming months.
Launched in 2023, Mobility in Motion aims to transform automotive accessibility by offering tailored solutions, expert advice, and partnering with top manufacturers, while working hard to promote visibility for underrepresented groups in the mobility sector.
