Cillian Brugha, Managing Director of Easystart, is a big supporter of the Matt Hampson Foundation.

Mobility battery supplier Easystart has been announced as the official supplier of batteries to the Matt Hampson Foundation, a registered charity which aims to inspire and support young people seriously injured through sport.

Former English rugby union prop Matt Hampson OBE founded the organisation after sustaining a life-changing injury when practicing with England’s under-21 squad in March 2005.

Easystart, which supplies batteries for mobility scooters, electric wheelchairs and power-chairs, are long-time supporters of Matt and the charity, having supplied batteries to Matt for his chair over the years and attended some of its charity events.

The battery supplier recently made a very generous donation to support its work.

Easystart Managing Director Cillian Brugha commented: “Everyone at Easystart hugely admires Matt as an individual, and the Foundation as a whole, for everything they do.

“We’ve known Matt and the Hampson family for many years so to officially put our support behind the Foundation as a business is a very proud moment for us and will hopefully benefit the Foundation in its future efforts.

“They are a great group of people doing amazing work for people who have had terrible accidents and the Foundation provides a fantastic platform for the beneficiaries and their families.”

The Matt Hampson Foundation offers expert physiotherapy, health advice, and specialised personal training from its Get Busy Living centre in the Leicestershire countryside, which opened in October 2018.

Built on the site of an old aircraft hangar, the centre features a state-of-the-art gym, a specialist disability personal trainer and highly experienced physiotherapists to provide beneficiaries with physical rehabilitation.

As well as being a place to relax for its beneficiaries, the Foundation also regularly hosts themed events, which are hosted by guest speakers and attended by beneficiaries, ambassadors and donors.

The Foundation also welcomes donations to help it to expand and continue to make a huge difference to people’s lives.
