Middletons adds royal touch to new mobility store unveiling as the retailer expands further East
After receiving a multi-million-pound investment in spring 2018, Middletons has opened its tenth outlet with some regal flair, as Kate Middleton-lookalike Heidi Agan and the Coventry Festival Band helped the company mark the occasion.
Launched in Coventry on the 26th January, the new store joins the company’s rapidly expanding nationwide showroom portfolio and follows a £3.8million investment in April 2018 by the Development Bank of Wales and the clients of Bristol-based Wealth Club in the mobility specialists.
Offering an extensive range of mobility products, including adjustable beds, British-made rise and recline chairs and a large selection of the mobility scooters, the new Coventry store is Middletons’ second Midlands-based outlet, after launching its Shrewsbury store in September 2018.
The opening saw the local band kick off celebrations with rousing tunes to gather a crowd whilst Duchess of Cambridge lookalike Heidi was busy greeting guests, posing for photographs and chatting with customers, as well as officially cutting the ribbon to unveil the new store.
Wayne Greet, Sales Director of Middletons, commented: “We’re delighted to have opened in Coventry and we’d like to thank the local community for giving us such a warm welcome. Our door is always open and we love sitting down with our customers for a cup of tea and a friendly chat.
“For those who can’t get to the store, our free, door-to-store taxi service is now up and running, so everyone can come and see what we have to offer.”
The new showroom is located at Unit 14 Warwickshire Retail Park, Kynner Way, Coventry CV3 2SB.
With ambitions to open over 20 stores across the UK, making it one of the largest retail players in the market, Middletons is set to open its next store in Cheltenham on 2nd February 2018.
