Lisclare announce dealership opportunities for innovative new bathroom access solution
Nursing equipment supplier Lisclare has announced dealership opportunities in the UK and Ireland for ShowerBuddy, a new and “unique” bathroom access solution which provides instant access to an existing shower without the cost, disruption and waiting time of a bathroom adaptation.
Remodelling a bathroom because of a disability can be an expensive and disruptive process, but the ShowerBuddy, which is made from lightweight aluminum with stainless steel features, claims to be straightforward to install.
As restrictions for the COVID-19 pandemic have eased and events and exhibitions have begun to open again, Lisclare has stated that it has received a lot of interest and positive feedback from occupational therapists (OTs) about the ShowerBuddy range of products since it was introduced to the UK and Ireland markets in the latter part of 2021.
According to Lisclare, the ShowerBuddy solution is safer and more robust than temporary alternatives such as using a ramp to access a shower, or using floor-fixed and internal lifts to access a bath.
Keith McMurray, Sales Director, exclusively commented to THIIS that the product offers an “excellent addition” to mobility showrooms. Most recently, the ShowerBuddy, which is supported by a lifetime warranty on the frame, was named ‘Most Innovative Bathroom Mobility Solutions Manufacturer 2020” at the GHP Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Awards 2020.
Lisclare is looking for dealers who are specialists in providing rehabilitation, mobility and patient handling solutions who can help it to support the increasing number of customers interested in the ShowerBuddy range.
‘Accredited dealers’ will be supported by a team of sales representatives who will be provided with training and resources about the ShowerBuddy. In return, dealers can expect a good profit margin from this problem-solving product. They will also benefit from sales leads and referrals generated through our national marketing activities.
ShowerBuddy dealers are required to participate in an on-site or virtual training session, which takes around one hour. They must also agree to host a product introduction to local occupational therapists and other potential customers in their area, which will be led by one of Lisclare’s sales representatives.
Accredited dealers must purchase demonstration units and set up a demonstration bath and shower area in their showroom, while also participating in extended training on options, accessories, assessment, and maintenance.
In addition to extended training, local sales representative will be available to provide support to retailers during their initial client assessments.
