Lifestyle and Mobility celebrates move to larger new premises in Bournemouth
Growing mobility retailer Lifestyle and Mobility this week was celebrating the pre-store opening of its new premises at Boscombe’s Sovereign Centre in Bournemouth after moving from its previous location in nearby Westbourne.
The new owners acquired Hearing Health and Mobility’s Bournemouth branch after it entered administration just weeks before the first coronavirus lockdown in the spring of last year and carried on trading until recently.
Darren Macey, Business Development Manager for Lifestyle and Mobility, commented that moving to the new, much bigger premises was great for both its customers and for staff at the store.
“The new store is going to be very different, modern, not what you would typically expect from a mobility store, interactive, with space to move around and even the ability to customise your own designs with our digital touch screens,” he said.
Lifestyle and Mobility’s shopping mall location in Boscombe means that its customers can benefit from parking and accessibility.
The store will stock a large range of mobility products and aids for customers with restricted mobility, with five expert members of staff on hand to help and advise clients.
It will also stock specialist beds and chairs as well as a range of e-bikes and e-scooters, as well as being one of the very few stores in the area to be Motability accredited.
The family-run retailer was founded in 2002 by Ron Sverdloff and is now managed by Managing Director Aaron Sverdloff.
The pandemic has failed to slow down the family run retailer’s ambitions, which now boasts five stores as part of its portfolio, with four in the South East. As well as acquiring its Bournemouth store last year, the retailer purchased Essex-based Harlow Mobility in November 2020.
