From 18th-21st of September 2019, international trade fair REHACARE will return in Düsseldorf, Germany, focusing on the needs of elderly and disabled people through showcasing a variety of independent living equipment.

Around 700 exhibitors from over 40 countries are expected to present innovative rehabilitation technology. Seminars, themed areas, presentations and podium discussions will also invite the audience to discover more information on current disability and social policies.

The list of exhibiting countries includes Australia, Vietnam, China, Denmark, the UK, Canada, Taiwan and South Korea.

250 exhibitors will showcase wheelchairs, power-driven mobility devices, walking aids and vehicles that are equipped for disabled drivers and passengers. On the 19th and 20th of September, REHACARE will also host the RehaForum for the first time. The specialist event is the brainchild of the Management Center of Competence (MCC) which provides an arena for discussing current political, economic and technical developments in the rehabilitation and aid markets.

The main topics this year include the Care Staff Strengthening Act; smart rehabilitation; opportunities offered by, and impact of, digitalisation; innovative approaches for discharge management; and current research findings in neurorehabilitation and chronic diseases.

“We are delighted by MCC’s decision to hold this renowned industry platform by experts for experts at REHACARE 2019”, said Hannes Niemann, Director of REHACARE. “This new alliance provides both parties with added value. It increases REHACARE’s competence in a specialist segment and simultaneously enables the participants of the RehaForum to benefit from the expertise of international exhibitors, the wide range of themes on offer at the trade fair and the opportunity to make and build contacts with representatives from the world of politics, associations and the healthcare economy.”

In addition, the second round of the M-Enabling Forum Europe kicks off on the 19th of September at the trade fair. The objective of this conference, with its accompanying exhibition, is to promote accessible digital technology that enables elderly and disabled people to live a high-quality, independent life.

Furthermore, the central platform for information, meeting and exchanging experience in trade fair hall 6 at REHACARE is being renamed from the REHACARE Forum to the REHACARE meeting point. The range of topics on offer, revolving around living with a disability and in old age, include the rights of disabled people, eCare, and the rights of patients when seeking medical aids.

REHACARE will take place in halls 4 to 7 and Hall 7a at Messe Düsseldorf this year. The trade fair will open its doors from Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and on Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
