Karma Mobility Ergo Lite 2 TallMobility solutions manufacturer Karma Mobility says that its upgraded Ergo Lite 2 wheelchair caters to more users without compromising on its lightweight design.

The ultra-lightweight Ergo Lite 2 Tall is available with expanded options for increased seat width, seat-to-floor height, and weight capacity.

It has been crash tested and approved for transportation in accordance with ISO 7176-19. This means that it is suitable to be used as a seat in a motor vehicle for transportation.

Mark Duffield, General Manager for Karma Mobility, commented to THIIS: “We are excited to be launching the Ergo Lite Tall because it is the latest model in a highly successful product line.

“It is crash tested and has been designed to cater for larger people. Tall means a higher seat-to-ground height, deeper seat, and higher backrest.

“The self-propel version has larger 22” rear wheels and 7” castors and comes with carer-controlled attendant brakes. It is available in 16”, 18” and 20” seat widths in transit.”

Featuring an upgraded weight capacity to 115kg the Ergo Lite 2 Tall weighs from 8.7kg, based on the heaviest part of 16″ seat width and 14″ fixed rear wheel.

Karma’s ‘push & pull’ brake system allows attendants to safely park the wheelchair without bending down to reach the wheel locks, allowing the user to get closer to tables.

Other features include new reflective side guards for added safety and detachable swing-away footrests, allowing for easy transfer on and off the wheelchair.

Patented S-Ergo Seating provides the wheelchair user with basic pressure relief without having to purchase a foam cushion.

Easy to carry out and fold for storage it is convenient and suitable for elderly caregivers taking care of elderly users. Customers can choose between the attendant-propelled wheelchair with 14″ rear wheels or the self-propelled wheelchair with 20″ rear wheels.

In late 2024 Karma Mobility launched the ergonomic Ergo 3 self propelled wheelchair, which has been designed to reduce the effort needed to maintain an upright posture.
