Koller Engineering’s quality standards recognised after achieving ISO 9001 certification
A specialist in the manufacture of wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) products, Koller Engineering, has announced its achievement of being awarded ISO 9001 recertification, a worldwide-recognised quality management standard.
This accreditation validates Koller’s ability to exceed the quality expectations and requirements of its customers.
Koller’s decision to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation every year for over 20 years demonstrates its commitment to continually improving its products and dedication to providing the best service to its customers.
Dean Koller, Director of Koller Engineering commented: “Every company that has gone through the certification process understands that achieving ISO 9001 is very demanding, but also demonstrates a company’s desire to perform at the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
“By auditing our processes at every level, we assure our customers are receiving the highest quality products and the highest level of service.
“We are proud and excited to have earned an ISO 9001 certification again and feel it provides additional assurance to our customers that we are focused on continuous improvement, effective dedication to assuring quality and customer satisfaction.”
For a company to be considered for ISO 9001 certification, a globally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS), it must demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products that both meet customer specifications and comply with regulatory requirements.
In addition, the company must aim to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of its systems, including the dedication to continuous improvement of their organisation and its processes. All of these factors are tested through a detailed audit.
The ISO 9001 certificate assures the company’s credibility and confirms that Koller designs and manufactures wheelchair accessible vehicle products and solutions that meet customer requirements and expectations.
Established in 1980, Koller manufactures a range of WAV products including wheelchair restraints, floor rails, portable ramps and removable mini-bus type seat fixings.
Most recently, Koller added a compact and portable wheelchair winch called the PortaWinch to its portfolio of products.
The company also helped support coach and bus companies earlier this year to meet Public Service Vehicle Accessibility Regulation (PSVAR) requirements with a variety of WAV products to help in the conversion process.
