Kidz to Adultz South and Scotland date changes 2021 image

Disabled Living, organisers of the Kidz to Adultz exhibitions, has announced that its Kidz to Adultz events in South England and Scotland have been postponed until 2021.

The events were originally supposed to take place in September, however, after following on from Government guidance and liaising with the relevant venues, Disabled Living has decided to postpone its exhibitions until 2021.

Kidz to Adultz South had already been pushed back from the 7th of May 2020 until the 30th September of 2020 to protect the vulnerable children and young adults visiting the exhibitions, as well as their families, carers, exhibitors and Disabled Living staff, from COVID-19.

In a statement issued by Disabled Living, the charity again highlighted that its priority is the safety of those involved in its exhibitions: “We are aware that these free events are an extremely valuable and key source of information and advice for many, many people. However, we do feel that postponing the events until next year is the right decision.

“Our priority continues to be the safety of all those involved, in particular our vulnerable children and young adults, their carers and the health professionals who support them, as well as our team, all the exhibitors and contractors involved in putting these amazing events together.”

Now, Kidz to Adultz South will take place on the 18th of May 2021 at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre. In addition, Kidz to Adultz Scotland will now take place on the 9th of September 2021 at the Royal Highland Centre, Lowland Hall, Ingliston, Edinburgh.

The two Kidz to Adultz exhibitions join a raft of other events in the industry that have been pushed back in order to protect visitors, exhibitors and staff amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The growing list of events now includes Naidex, Motability’s The Big Event, multiple OTAC conferences and Warrington Disability Partnership’s Disability Awareness Day.

Disabled Living concluded: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our wonderful visitors and all those who contribute to these events for all their continued support. In the meantime, keep safe and well!”

The Kidz to Adultz events are focused on children and young adults with disabilities and additional needs, their parents, carers and the professionals who support them. The regional shows take place throughout the year, providing companies with the opportunity to showcase their latest paediatric ranges to children and parents, as well as enabling healthcare professionals to attend free CPD seminars.
