About the role

The Primacare business has experienced exceptional growth over recent years, so we’re pleased to add a National Sales Director to our team.

The Sales Director will drive the sales team in line with the business’s strategic plan to grow its position in chosen domestic markets by expanding its customer base, managing and developing territory managers and the internal sales team, and building strong, long-lasting, and repeatable customer relationships.

Main responsibilities

  • Work closely with the senior management team to formulate and implement a sales development strategy for growth.
  • Align the growth strategy through the combined efforts of B2B channel partners and explore other growth opportunities.
  • Recruit and train sales staff and ensure that the department can drive volumes of seating sales efficiently.
  • Creating Sales Forecasts and Sales Plans.
  • Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned, focused areas and accounts.
  • Communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organisation, including the executive and C-suite levels.
  • Identifying objectives, resources, and market positioning, including client or partnership opportunities.
  • Ensure the target
  • market sectors (retail, care, and rental) are identified and onboarded and continue to mature through focused customers and the provision of our services
  • Develop and implement efficient, effective, compliant commercial pricing, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide strong leadership by devising and implementing systems to motivate staff and maintain high morale.
  • Develop and motivate external and internal sales teams to ensure role competency requirements and achieve strong engagement, performance, productivity, and work quality.
  • Seek to identify new markets, geographic coverage, and partners/customers aligned with the growth plans, including considering existing (and additional) product portfolios and applications.
  • Develop department action plans and objectives aligned to the Group business plan and goals, ensuring these are cascaded, evaluated and adjusted when required.
  • Report regularly on all aspects of the growth plan, including risks, performance, client opportunities, product development or portfolio, and business improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and experience

  • You will be degree qualified or equivalent or have significant relevant industry experience.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of raising the standards within a team.
  • You will be experienced in both setting and aligning to strategies, setting objectives and KPIs and Budget Management.
  • You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You will be balancing multiple workstreams while working with several clients and partners simultaneously, ensuring smooth efficiency and strong sales output.
  • You will be a leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can listen, offer sound feedback, and work in a collaborative environment with the operational delivery teams.
  • You can act proactively / be forward-thinking whilst maintaining a methodical, attention-to-detail approach.
  • You will have a vision for the business and the wider team, and you will be able to adapt and be decisive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will have extensive client-facing experience and negotiation skills in the business’s commercial and technical elements.
  • You will have extensive experience leading sales teams, managing resources, and being equally focused on people’s development.
  • You will be Computer literate and be able to analyse data on Microsoft and other software packages.
  • You will have the ability and willingness to travel as and when necessary.
  • This position requires a full UK driving licence, and the role requires the successful applicant to travel to and from multiple locations.
