Overview

Allardyce Healthcare, part of the growing Advanced Healthcare Group, provides mobility, independence and daily living solutions to customers across private homes and care environments.

As the business continues to develop, we are looking to add an experienced Mobility Healthcare Specialist to support our assessment and relationship work across the community, professional and referral sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused specialist who enjoys working directly with people, solving practical problems and making a genuine difference to quality of life.

The focus is assessment, advice and relationship-based working in a field-based role. You will use your experience and skills to assess the mobility needs, and to prescribe manual and powered wheelchairs, powered chairs, scooters, seating and other aids.

About the Role

This role is a full time position, (37.5 hours weekly) Monday to Friday. It should be understood however, although standard hours are 8:30am–5:00pm, you should remain flexible to suit the needs of the business and its customers.

Although this is predominantly a field-based role, there is also a requirement to have a presence in Dundee, for meetings, training or helping out in general if the business needs require this.

Key Duties:

  • Build professional working relationships with healthcare and community partners to support customer outcomes and identify opportunities to support more individuals
  • Using your experience and skills to carry out home and care home mobility assessments
  • Demonstrating seating, wheelchairs, powered chairs and scooters
  • Recommending appropriate equipment solutions
  • Supporting families and carers
  • Maintain and develop referral relationships with occupational therapists, case managers, care providers and community organisations
  • Represent Allardyce Healthcare within the local professional community through visits, demonstrations and awareness activity
  • Undertaking and documenting all necessary risk assessments relating to (but not limited to) equipment provision, moving and handling practices and following company procedures
  • Strive to provide exceptional service and contribute to achieving our customer care and performance goals
  • Stay informed about industry trends, product developments, and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations.

About you – you will have:

  • Experience in mobility equipmentrehabilitation equipment and/or community equipment services
  • Comfortable developing professional relationships and becoming a trusted local point of contact
  • Confidence working independently in the community
  • Strong communication and practical problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills combined with the ability to manage a varied workload
  • A caring, professional approach with elderly and vulnerable customers
  • An organised, detail-oriented outlook and be proficient in email and basic office software
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A positive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Ability to work flexibly to suit customer requirements/appointments
  • A level of physical fitness that will enable you to carry out manual handling activities involving some of our mobility products and equipment.
  • A full driving licence

Due to nature of role, you will be subject to Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme
