We are seeking an experienced and driven Retail Shop Manager to lead our team and continue delivering exceptional customer experiences in our mobility store.

Job Summary

As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the store, ensuring high standards of customer service, operational efficiency, and sales performance. You will lead by example, motivating and developing your team to deliver expert guidance on a wide range of mobility products including scooters, powerchairs, rise-and-recline chairs, stairlifts, and daily living aids.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the store’s operations including sales, stock management, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Lead and support a team of sales advisors and technicians, ensuring high morale and excellent performance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, offering tailored advice and product demonstrations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, product servicing, and financial transactions.
  • Ensure the store is clean, welcoming, and aligned with the company’s brand standards.
  • Work closely with the wider retail and service network, including suppliers and head office support functions.
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge and market trends in the mobility and healthcare retail sector.
  • Support store staff in creating content for social media and advertising with assistance from the head office marketing department.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of retail management experience, preferably within the mobility, healthcare, or specialist retail sector.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a customer-focused team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong sales skills and commercial acumen.
  • Empathetic and professional approach when dealing with vulnerable or elderly customers.
  • Competent with retail systems, stock control, and basic financial reporting.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred for occasional local deliveries or assessments).

Desirable

  • Knowledge of mobility products and services
  • Previous experience in a customer care or health-related environment
  • Technical understanding of product assembly, servicing, or basic repairs
