Sumed logoSumed has grown rapidly during 2020 and is also expanding its servicing division. Following the acquisition of the Leycare business in June 2020, we have been awarded the contract for the servicing and repair of specialised equipment in Cumbria.

We are looking for an individual who may be interested in joining our team as a field-based engineer responsible for installation, re-installation, planned preventative maintenance and emergency repairs of lifting equipment including mobile and ceiling mounted hoists.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in medical devices and be familiar with the requirements of LOLER and PUWER. He/she should be qualified to at least NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a relevant discipline, eg BTEC National Certificate and Diploma and City and Guilds Award level 2.

Prior to employment, because there is a need to work in the premises of vulnerable adults and children, applicants must agree to an enhanced DBS check

Salary £22k-£24k dependent on qualifications and/or experience
