Jenx makes employee wellbeing its priority with a fun-packed month of activities

Staff at postural support products manufacturer Jenx have been focusing on their wellbeing in more ways than one this month.
Employees from across the entire 120-strong organisation have been invited to take part in a fun-packed calendar of engaging and enriching activities, ranging from sleep and food wellbeing sessions to a comedy night and walk in the Peak District.
The Sheffield-based company stated that it is committed to developing a culture centred around creating a positive staff experience.

Over the years, this vision has been turned into reality in numerous ways, which includes providing everybody with plenty of training and development opportunities, celebrating staff with internal awards and, most recently, holding an entire ‘Month of Wellbeing’.
Holly Jenkins, Managing Director of Jenx, commented: “Employee wellbeing is incredibly important to us. So much so, we make sure we keep it at the forefront of our minds every day through our core values – ethical, passionate, innovative, caring and collaborative.
“These five values are embedded into every element of the business, from our day-to-day processes, to the way we recognise and reward employees for their hard work,” explains Holly.

“Employee welfare isn’t just about celebrating success, it’s also about taking care of people. Health, both mental and physical, is an extremely important part of everybody’s life.”
Since its inception 43 years ago, Jenx has always focused on employee wellbeing. Back then, the company’s founders, Clive and Catherine, used to hold barbecues at the factory for all of the staff. As the company has grown, these celebrations have evolved into larger events, like JenxFest, which involved live music and a range of street food vendors.
Holly adds: “All of the ways we look after employee welfare – whether that be by celebrating people’s contributions or by encouraging staff to learn new things – helps create a working environment that is supportive and encouraging.
“Events, like our Month of Wellbeing, play a key role in making sure we stay true to our company values and show our employees just how much we appreciate them.”
