Jenx and Jiraffe strengthen marketing team with Clinical Partnerships Manager appointment
Sheffield-based postural care specialist Jenx, and UK distributor Jiraffe, have recently strengthened their marketing team with the introduction of a brand-new role.
Jenx has appointed Kieran Murphy, 31, originally from Bury, as Clinical Partnerships Manager.
This new role involves working closely with the Jenx design team to assist with clinical insight and reasoning into future product development, working with Jenx distributors and their service users to support with the understanding and clinical reasoning behind Jenx and Jiraffe products.
After completing his BSc Physiotherapy degree in 2016 and MSc Advancing Physiotherapy postgraduate degree in 2019, both at the University of Salford, Kieran gained five years’ experience working as a physiotherapist within the NHS.
He completed his core rotations in adult physiotherapy for three years before specialising as a Paediatric Physiotherapist in 2019 where he provided a wide variety of holistic therapy and support to children with developmental delay, complex neurological conditions, and musculoskeletal injuries.
He has a keen interest in helping children with cerebral palsy and the management of hip dysplasia and will continue to work in an NHS locum role alongside his role at Jenx to ensure his clinical skills continue to evolve.
Kieran said: “What attracted me to Jenx was that the care, compassion and quality of life for their service users and their families is at the core of the company’s values – values that are in line with the NHS principles I firmly believe in.
“As a company, Jenx and its employees clearly have a close-knit family feel that I’m excited to be a part of, and I have been given such a fantastic welcome by my colleagues already.
“I’m extremely excited to have the chance to be involved in the development of more life changing products for children and the families worldwide.”
Jenx, whose headquarters are based in Hillsborough, Sheffield, is a family-run company founded back in 1982 by a paediatric physiotherapist and a product designer with the aim of enriching lives and changing perceptions about disability.
Ever since, it has been researching, designing, and manufacturing ground-breaking developmental postural equipment to support children with specific postural needs.
Jenx recently strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of three cross divisional department heads, welcoming Ryan Lister as Head of Operations, Nick Marwood as Head of IT, and James Hopkins as Head of Finance.
