Global mobility and healthcare solutions manufacturer Invacare recently partnered with the 2025 Superhero Tri powered by Marvel for the second year in Windsor.

Held at Dorney Lake, the event, which was held last weekend, is the UK’s only disability sports series designed and dedicated to people with disabilities, and was once again filmed for a TV documentary on Channel 4, with presenter Clare Balding.

This year’s event saw 4,000 participants take part in exciting challenges and events, designed to be disability-friendly and encouraging all to swim, cycle and push their way to the finish line.

Lisa Cook, Marketing Manager at Invacare UK, said: “We are incredibly proud to support the Superhero Tri once again. Seeing people of all abilities come together to take part in sport, challenge themselves, and celebrate what’s possible is so inspiring.

“Our role goes beyond manufacturing – it’s about helping create moments of confidence, empowerment and connection.”

The Superhero Series was founded by Paralympian Sophia Warner, who represents the United Kingdom in track and field events, and was the first disabled person to enter the London Triathlon in 1998.

Sophia said: “I think there’s a real gap between being a Paralympian and being someone who has a disability and loves to do sport. From my perspective, yes I’m a Paralympian, but there is not a lot of places to go and do sport for fun, where your competitors are made like you.

“I hope we can continue to encourage more Superheroes and their families to come along and get involved. And thanks to Invacare for their support – we couldn’t do it without super partners like them.”

Everyday superheroes were joined on the day by numerous famous faces, including Alex Brooker, Stephen Miller, Sophie Christiansen and a whole host of other inspiring celebrities.

“Our mission at Invacare is Making Life’s Experiences Possible, and the Superhero Tri event alongside our partnership with the Banshees is a perfect expression of that. It’s a celebration of ability, determination and inclusion, giving everyone the chance to take part and shine,” added Lisa.
