InnoScot Health to discuss its phased transition in engaging industry and academia
InnoScot Health will discuss its phased transition from NHS Scotland partner to a more expansive consultancy offering which will more closely engage industry and academia, bringing Scotland’s ‘triple helix’ closer together on Wednesday 11 February 2026.
The key partner in realising healthcare innovation ambitions for Scotland is offering a deep dive into its evolving model of service delivery during its free webinar.
The webinar, entitled ‘The evolving face of healthcare innovation – how InnoScot Health is expanding its reach‘, will take place from 12-12.45pm and will be presented by Head of Innovation, Robert Rea, and Head of Innovation Commercialisation, Gillian Henderson.

Since 2002, InnoScot Health has supported NHS Scotland Boards by protecting, managing, and commercialising the intellectual property in innovative ideas.
It has also continued to provide a range of supplementary services including idea evaluation, medical device regulatory support, funding and investment, project development, and commercialisation.
That unique expertise has helped to translate many innovative ideas into tangible health benefits, generate income for the NHS, and support broader efforts to improve healthcare services.
As innovation and the broader healthcare landscape continues to change, so do the underpinning structures, systems, and services, InnoScot Health is entering a new phase which aligns with that shift.
The organisation will be going through a managed transition period to ensure continuity of access to advice, expertise, and support in the short-term before becoming entirely self-sustaining as of 1 April 2027.

InnoScot Health welcomed a raft of new partnerships launched in 2025 across Scotland’s academic ecosystem aimed at strengthening commercialisation and innovation.
