Aiming to share best practice and ideas among organisations across the world, the British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) has partnered with the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), joining the North American authority on residential kitchens and baths’ NKBA Global Connect Alliance Programme.

Launched in 2006, the BiKBBI is the UK’s first and only government-sanctioned institute dedicated to Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom installation.

Working with professional installers, retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors of kitchen, bedroom & bathroom products, the organisation was established to address the increasing number of consumer complaints received each year in the sector.

Among the Institutes’ membership are several players in the mobility and access market involved in creating and adapting accessible kitchen, bedroom and bathrooms.

According to the BiKBBI, the new international collaboration will aim to encourage a global exchange of current and forward-thinking insights and information among organisations in the kitchen and bath marketplace.

Damian Walters, CEO of the BiKBBI, commented: “We had the pleasure of being involved with last year’s NKBA Global Connect Conference and it was a huge success. When we were approached to partner again, it was an obvious decision as it allows us to network with similar organisations and partners across the world.”

Among the inaugural NKBA Global Connect Alliance members are the Association of German Kitchen Manufacturers, Bathroom Manufacturers Association and the Association of the German Furniture Industry.

These associations and organisations will collaborate with the NKBA to offer support to North American NKBA Global Connect brands wishing to expand their international presence, as well as supporting the NKBA Global Connect Subscription programme with their member companies.

“We are really excited to welcome these four fabulous associations to our NKBA Global Connect Alliance program,” said Suzie Williford, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer of NKBA.

“We have already built a solid relationship with each and are very much looking forward to continuing to grow the kitchen and bath marketplace — worldwide — with these excellent partners. We all have much to gain by collaborating with friends and colleagues who have a deep understanding of their constituents and individual markets.”
