Independence Mobility named a preferred supplier for disabled children’s charity Newlife
Yorkshire-based mobility equipment specialist Independence Mobility has been named a preferred supplier to Newlife The Charity for Disabled Children.
Newlife supports disabled and terminally ill children across the UK by helping families to access to the specialist equipment that they need.
Independence Mobility have been appointed Newlife’s preferred supplier for powered and manual wheelchairs, beds, and buggies, offering a range of models to accommodate basic, moderate and complex needs.
As part of the grant application process, Independence Mobility will be carrying out assessments to prescribe the most suitable items of equipment to help families secure funding.
The team will also be looking after delivery, set up, and ongoing maintenance. Newlife says the ability to offer a white glove service, along with the team’s experience and knowledge of mobility solutions, made Independence Mobility an ideal partner.
Newlife’s Head of Charitable Services, Becky Smith, said: “Newlife is excited to maintain its partnership with Independence Mobility as one of our preferred suppliers, allowing us to continue providing children and young people with the essential equipment they need to enhance their quality of life and reach their full potential.”
Independence Mobility’s Director, Anthony Mitchell, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been appointed a Newlife preferred supplier.
“We have recently celebrated our 20th anniversary, and this opportunity is testament to the hard work of the team who have helped grow the business to be able to support such a worthwhile cause.
“The whole Independence Mobility team are incredibly passionate about helping to improve young lives for the better with the provision of mobility equipment, and working closely with Newlife allows us to continue to do that on an even greater level.”
Cheshire-based all-terrain wheelchair manufacturer Mountain Trike recently announced a new distributor in Germany and Austria, marking an important milestone in its commitment to providing greater freedom for individuals with limited mobility.
