Hickleys announces expansion of operations following merger with Somerset retailer
Somerset-based Hickleys Mobility and Healthcare has announced that it has expanded its operations with the addition of two more service engineers, additional vans and a whole new store front with automatic doors at its extensive Taunton showroom and HQ. Its Bridgwater showroom now also offers prescriptive mobility products.
In March 2020, Hickleys Mobility and Healthcare merged with fellow Somerset retailer HMS Mobility Solutions. Founded by Garry Hellings, HMS Mobility Solutions specialised in the provision of prescription, powered and manual wheelchairs, in particular for individuals with complex mobility issues.
Since that time, a spokesperson for Hickleys Mobility and Healthcare has confirmed that Alex Boon, its mobility product specialist, has undergone extensive one-on-one training from Garry, in addition to training from manufacturers, which has proven to be invaluable for the firm.
The firm also stated that it has continued to work with Motability as it traded through the COVID-19 pandemic.
