Hanover Scotland appoints customer service director with 25 years of housing sector experience
One of the nation’s largest housing associations, Hanover Scotland, has announced the appointment of a new customer service director.
Esther Wilson will take up the post for Hanover Scotland in August and will play a key role in driving forward the housing association’s ‘Happy Customer’ strategy.
Working 25 years in the housing sector, Esther will bring a wealth of knowledge in local authority strategic planning and economic development, as well as housing association service redesign and development.
Esther joins from Viewpoint Housing Association where she has led a variety of major change projects across housing, care and support services.
She will initially focus on the review of Hanover’s service model and will design a new approach to better illustrate the business’ Happy Customer Strategy.
Esther said: “It is a great honour to have been named Hanover Scotland’s new Director of Customer Services.
“I’m looking forward to joining my new colleagues and working with them to deliver on Hanover’s mission to provide excellent services to meet the housing needs of Scotland’s older people and to support them to be as independent as possible.
“I would like to thank Jean Gray and all my colleagues at Viewpoint for the support they have given me during my time there and wish them all the best for the future.”
Hanover Chief Executive, Angela Currie said: “We are really excited to have Esther join our organisation at this important time.
“She is such a highly respected and well-known housing professional with an exceptional track record.”
The appointment comes after Hanover was awarded a gold accreditation for its outstanding commitment to employee wellbeing by the organisation, Investors in People, becoming the third housing association in Scotland to achieve this award.
The award-winning non-profit organisation, for over 40 years, Hanover Scotland has empowered independence by providing safe, secure social housing that allows residents to live fulfilling, independent lives.
In May 2024, workers in Scotland’s burgeoning housing and property sector had the opportunity to access qualifications and training courses through membership with provider of learning and development solutions for the housing and property sector Share.
