Paul Smith will cover the south of England, while Dean Webber will work with partners in Wales and the south west.

The two new recruits were welcomed to the Handicare team at their January trade sales meeting at Old Trafford, amid celebrations of a record-breaking 2021 for Handicare’s trade sales network.

Paul joins Handicare with 12 years’ experience in B2B sales. Previously in the golfing industry, he worked with clubs to increase their revenue before becoming a Regional Key Account Manager, helping large retailers, event organisations, and trade customers to supply their ID requirements.

Dean was previously a Business Development Manager supplying temporary heating and cooling equipment to the NHS, facilities management, and construction sectors. He supported the NHS through the pandemic by the setting up of vaccination sites and test sites across the UK.

UK Trade National Sales Manager Jason Skelding said of the appointments: “It’s brilliant to have two new members of the team on board. Between them they bring an abundance of knowledge and experience to Handicare.

“We know that the personal support from our dedicated team of BDMs is one of the most valued benefits for our Trade Partner network, and Paul and Dean are sure to continue that same level of support in their regions.

“I’m immensely proud of everything the Handicare family has achieved this year– despite the huge challenges, we’ve seen really encouraging growth across our partner network. With these new appointments I know we will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Handicare recently announced an expanded product line for its trade partners to include Garaventa platform and wheelchair lifts following its acquisition by the Savaria Corporation in March 2021.

Jason Skelding went on to add: “This is an exciting time for Handicare as we integrate further with the Savaria family. Partners can expect to see more and more benefits as we become bigger, better, and stronger together.”
