Handicare Partner Event

Handicare Stairlifts UK hosted a much anticipated virtual event for trade partners in December which celebrated everything its family of dealers have achieved together over the last 18 months, despite the challenges the market has faced.

The virtual event was the first of its kind since restrictions halted in-person events in March 2020 and included the prestigious Partner Awards, highlighting the growth achieved by Handicare dealers across the UK.

Some partners got stuck into the spirit of the glamorous awards ceremony, donning black tie and raising a toast!

UK Sales and Marketing Director Paul Stockdill said: “It’s vital we recognise the fantastic effort that our dedicated trade partners put into making sure all our businesses thrive, and all Handicare customers are supported.

“We achieve so much as a Handicare family, and these events are a brilliant opportunity to celebrate our successes together.

“We were thrilled to be able to gather online after all this time, and thank our Partners for everything they’ve done over the past 18 months.”

Jason Skelding, UK Trade Manager, summarised Handicare’s new initiatives under the event’s theme of ‘You ask – we listen’, highlighting all the ways Handicare are supporting trade partners, implementing changes to boost business growth in response to feedback.

UK Operations Director Richard Whitehouse presented some of the ways in which Handicare has innovated and invested in infrastructure and resources to meet the challenges of the past 18 months, maintaining its usual high quality of service for dealers throughout.

There was cause for celebration with the announcement that, since its launch 2.5 years ago, over 10,000 units of the 1100 stairlift have been sold in the UK alone.

The event gave dealers an insight into the exciting new plans they can expect from Handicare next year. VP Finance David Temple presented an update about Handicare’s merger into the Savaria Corporation – the global stairlift manufacturer was acquired by the Canadian mobility giant in March 2020, and has recently announced bold plans to integrate European functions under Handicare leadership.
