In a bid to ensure its trade partners are in the best possible position to enjoy success after lockdown, Handicare has launched a new online training programme – HandicareLive.

The available sessions are a mix of commercial and technical topics designed to help dealers make their businesses more robust and capable of weathering the change in market conditions caused by COVID-19.

Sales sessions include guidance about lead generation and enquiry handling, as well as help for dealers interested in developing virtual assessments while social distancing measures are in place.

Paul Stockdill, Sales and Marketing Director of Handicare UK, said: “Our proven commercial training programme has helped our dealers to grow their business through sharing best practices developed by our direct sales team. In some cases, this has resulted in as much as a 250% increase in sales.”

In addition, technical sessions are on offer to provide engineering teams with the chance to refresh their installation skills for straight and curved stairlifts, while regular Q&A format workshops give direct access to Handicare’s experienced technical team for specific questions.

There are also sessions on Handicare’s PhotoSurvey tools which enables dealers to accurately measure customers’ staircases by placing markers on and around the stairs. The markers are then photographed and specialist software intuitively measures the images to create a realistic 3D model of the staircase and the stairlift track.

Created to reduce the time required to measure the lift, Handicare highlights that the PhotoSurvey tech is now more relevant than ever, “given the demand for reducing non-essential contact in customers’ homes.”

“Our aim is to help our partners improve in all areas of direct sales, which will be of benefit in all areas of their business for years to come,” continued Paul.

“With COVID-19 lockdown measures in place it is difficult to provide face-to-face training, so it has provided us with the perfect opportunity to introduce online sessions. We’ve been inundated with booking requests which is a real sign of our partners’ confidence in our programme and the support it offers during these difficult times.”

According to Handicare, almost all of the available spaces for sessions in May and June were booked within days of the HandicareLive sessions being released and the first Virtual Assessment sessions are set to begin later this week.

“By taking part in HandicareLive, partners can demonstrate to customers they are continuing to invest in their skills and training, as well developing sales techniques which will have a positive impact on their ability to get ahead of the competition,” he concluded.
