Handicare introduces vertical platform lift designed to provide wheelchair access for two stops
Global accessibility manufacturer Handicare has announced the launch of the Savaria Multilift; an unenclosed vertical platform lift designed to provide seamless wheelchair access for two stops in residential and commercial settings.
Already a popular choice across North America, the Savaria Multilift now arrives in Europe, bringing its proven reliability and user-friendly design to new markets.
The Savaria Multilift is a compact, space-saving solution that delivers reliable performance, even in tough climate conditions. Designed with efficiency in mind, the lift requires no pit or separate machine room.
Its self-contained drive system is neatly housed within the lift tower, reducing the need for extensive building work. This streamlined setup cuts down installation time significantly — with many units able to be installed within a single day — minimising disruption on-site and keeping projects on track.

The Savaria Multilift is operated effortlessly with simple ‘hold-to-run’ controls. It has a number of built-in safety features including an automatic access ramp to provide ease of entry and exit at the lower landing, and an automatic locking landing gate.
The operating panel also includes a diagnostic display to indicate the status of the lift. Built for durability and style, the Multilift features a grey electrostatic finish (RAL 7047), a non-skid platform, and optional acrylic gate inserts for a modern look. The vertical platform lift supports up to 1.8m travel and 385kg capacity.
Handicare is a global provider of straight, curved and outdoor stairlifts and has been providing mobility solutions since 1886. It was acquired by Savaria Corporation in 2021, following Savaria’s acquisition of Garaventa Lift, which provides custom-made platform lifts for mobility and accessibility in homes and public locations, in 2018.
