Nominated alongside kitchen and bathroom giants Wren, Wickes and Victoria Plumb, the nomination puts Handicare at the forefront of the home adaptation industry for offering specialised, accessible products with the same reliable service as leading bathroom brands.

BiKBBI is the national organisation representing tradespeople within the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom industry in the UK and Handicare has worked with it to help set an industry benchmark, ensuring customers receive the very highest standard of installation and customer care.

Every installer Handicare works with is required to be a member of BiKBBI to guarantee excellent service every time.

Phil Cooke, Handicare Bathing Manager, said of the nomination: “Making the shortlist for this award is a huge honour, which shows that the team’s hard work does not go unnoticed with our colleagues across the industry. Being nominated alongside household KBB brands sets a precedent that accessible bathing customers should not need to compromise on service.

“Especially after a very difficult time over the past two years, it’s great to know that our service is making a difference, not only to the people who rely on our bathing solutions, but to the installers we work with too.”

As a member of BiKBBI, Handicare benefits from independent advice and training to ensure it is offering world-class customer service, and installations are perfectly suited to the needs of the customer.

All sales staff take part in the training, which covers elements of bathroom installations including ergonomics, safety, and aesthetics, as well as providing specialised advice about the vulnerable nature of many of Handicare’s customers. The course includes an assessment, which the team passed with 100% accuracy.

Handicare customers can access a post-installation inspection from BiKBBI, giving both the company and its customers confidence that the products supplied fit the customers’ needs and installations meet their expectations.

The awards will be presented tonight at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in Westminster.
