Clare Brophy, VP Commercial for Handicare, said of the announcement: “We’re thrilled to be working more closely with our Savaria family. I’m so excited about what this means for our loyal network of partners, and that Handicare has the opportunity to drive growth across the Savaria group in Europe.

“We know that every one of our fantastic partners works incredibly hard to meet the diverse and complex needs of their customers. Being able to access the extended range of products that the Savaria group are now able to offer through Handicare will make this even easier for them to do. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together and the opportunities this will open up.

“Savaria and Handicare are closely aligned on keeping end users at the heart of our business. I’m confident that our partners will continue to experience the benefits of Handicare’s accelerated growth as a result of this new level of integration.”

Savaria CEO and President Marcel Bourassa said of the plans: “These exciting changes in our leadership begin the next stage of growth and expansion for Savaria.

“Around the world, the divisions and business segments of Savaria are unified by our mission to improve people’s mobility. We have a wealth of talent at all levels, in all divisions and in all countries, and so much opportunity with our expanded distribution and world-leading product portfolio.”

Handicare’s acquisition by Savaria Corporation earlier this year saw the creation of a new global leader in accessibility, with one of the most comprehensive product lines on the market. Handicare Partners will begin to see Savaria and Garaventa Lift products introduced to the Handicare range in 2022.
