Glasgow retailer Mobility Scotland goes for goal with professional football team sponsorship
Kirkintilloch-based mobility retailer Mobility Scotland has agreed a new sponsorship deal with Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle Football Club, becoming the club’s back of shirt and shorts sponsor.
Founded in 2006, Mobility Scotland sells an extensive range of mobility products from its Kirkintilloch showroom, working closely with end-users, as well as healthcare professionals, local authorities, NHS and care organisations.
The new sponsorship partnership will see the mobility retailer’s logo featured below the squad numbers on both Partick Thistle FC’s home and away kits throughout the rest of the team’s 2019/20 campaign, as well as appearing on its shorts.
Established over 140 years ago in 1876, Partick Thistle FC – nicknamed ‘the Jags’ – currently play in the Scottish Championship, the second tier of Scotland’s professional football league, after being relegated from Scotland’s top flight in the 2017/18 season.
Launching the partnership at the club’s Firhill Stadium, Billy Finnie, Operations Manager of Mobility Scotland, commented: “It’s a real honour for Mobility Scotland to be associated with one of Glasgow’s oldest and best-known sporting institutions. We will be extremely proud to see our name and brand on the kits and around the ground and look forward to supporting the team throughout the campaign.”
Alongside the mobility company’s logo being seen by thousands of Partick Thistle’s fan weekly, Mobility Scotland will also benefit from having its logo reach wider audiences when the Scottish club’s games are televised.
Partick Thistle Chief Executive, Gerry Britton, added: “It’s fantastic to have Mobility Scotland join the club’s family of sponsors, with their logo taking pride of place below the squad numbers on all our strips for the season. It’s always encouraging to gain the support of businesses local to the club and we’re very pleased and grateful for their support.”
