Geberit AquaClean Mera Care

Having made consistent progress in the UK care market, Geberit is now offering an extensive five-year warranty to celebrate the launch of its new AquaClean Mera Care shower toilet.

The new shower toilet boasts a number of unique, technologically advanced solutions aimed at aiding independence and enhancing quality of life, according to the company, including Whirlspray shower technology – an industry first.

The new feature includes instant warm water and a full one-minute wash to help users feel instantly fresh and clean, using two nozzles, ensuring a targeted and thorough clean made possible by a pulsating shower spray that is enhanced by dynamic aeration.

Simon Thomas, National AquaClean Care Sales Manager at Geberit, commented: “From design to engineering and manufacture, efforts at all levels of product development have focused on the needs of the end user and OT’s – and this new five-year warranty underscores our confidence in what is a new generation product for the shower toilet market.”

In addition to the Whirlspray technology, the shower chair incorporates a warm air dryer, total hands-free control and a smart remote control to assist with personal preference settings.

“By understanding OT’s and end-user requirements, Geberit has used its passion for design and technology to revolutionise and reimagine the care toilet,” continued Simon.

“Thanks to its outstanding functionality, this new product is not only beautiful to look at, but it also makes life easier and more comfortable for the user.”

To activate the free five-year warranty, which Geberit says echoes its longstanding dedication to improve independent living for end users and occupational therapists, all units must be registered within the first 90 days of installation.

Alongside the free extended warranty, a new whitepaper called ‘Shining the spotlight on Accessible Bathrooms’ has been released by the company, highlighting challenges to independent living and demonstrating the role of the bathroom in helping people remain in their own home.

Headquartered in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland, the Geberit Group is a European leader in sanitary products, with 12,000 employees and sales of £2.46billion in 2018.
